About
I am a dedicated veterinary professional who has experience in the veterinary medical field for over twenty-seven years. I have worked in vocational college education teaching, developing veterinary programs, and creating course curricula for Veterinary Assistants, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Technologists, Veterinary Science, and Equine Science programs for over twelve years. I am a Small Animal Technician with a degree in Animal Science and a Small Animal Technician (Laboratory Animals) and Veterinary Technician. My instructor certification includes Pet CPR & First Aid, Large Animal Disaster Preparation FEMA certification, and Equine First Aid. I am also pursuing my master's degree in animal Behavior.
I began my veterinary technician career in 1996, and I have experience with many species of animals including companion animals, equines, poultry, livestock, and exotics. I received my Animal Science degree from Dickinson State University and my certification from the Veterinary Technical Institute. I have won multiple Teacher of Excellence awards for my dedication and passion for educating future veterinary paraprofessional students from various colleges throughout the nation.
I truly enjoy teaching aspiring veterinary assistants, veterinary science, and veterinary technology students, and I look forward to providing an exceptional education pathway to all my students who wish to enter into the field of veterinary medicine and animal care careers.
