We are seeking a finance leader to join our Northgate based team as Finance Manager. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, APAC you will be accountable for leading our financial accounting team, ensuring accurate reporting of the Group’s financial results to senior finance executives while providing accurate analysis and calculations to support informed decision-making. You would be joining a global company in the rewarding veterinary industry while enjoying exciting career paths within an APAC Finance HQ environment.
Your responsibilities will include –
- Providing effective people leadership across Financial Accounting teams, setting clear performance objectives and fostering a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement
- Owning and leading the month-end close process and group financial reporting activities.
- Overseeing the preparation of comprehensive audit working papers and acting as the primary liaison with external auditors to ensure a smooth, timely, and efficient audit process.
- Serving as the finance subject matter expert for inventory, ensuring accurate recording, valuation, and reporting of inventory costs. Support initiatives that drive optimal inventory levels and improve supply chain cost visibility.
- Leading the preparation and oversight of the organisation’s cash flow, including weekly forecasting and variance analysis.
- Driving strong financial governance, including oversight of internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
About You
Ideally you will display –
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications.
- Demonstrated minimum five years experience in a finance leadership capacity with proven success in developing accounting teams.
- Industry experience within supply chain or an inventory focused will be highly regarded.
- Well developed systems skills in ERP and Excel as well as exposure to inventory management and/or warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated skills in influencing cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes while managing tight deadlines and reporting timelines.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities.
