We are currently seeking and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Northgate team on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Vice President Logistics, APAC, you will be responsible for the performance of the warehouse through the effective management of dispatch, receipt and management of goods within the organisation as well as leading and developing a high performance team.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include;
- Leadership and management responsibilities including recruitment, engagement, performance management, and professional development for a large warehouse team.
- Creating, maintaining and guiding safe work practices, ensuring all employees receive appropriate training and comply with safe work practices.
- Developing and maintaining effective and efficient work processes and procedures in conjunction with the Vice President.
- Optimising resources across the site, including planning and directing the distribution of products and employee workflows to ensure that distribution, despatch and delivery remains consistent with agreed service levels.
- Co-ordination of cycle counts, and stock takes within the distribution centre.
- Ultimate responsibility for security of the premises, inventory and staff members.
About You
To be successful you will have;
- Formal qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics or Business (preferred)
- Demonstrated 5+ years experience in warehousing operations at a senior level within a high volume warehouse.
- Previous experience within Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Animal Health or Medical Devices.
- Experience leading and coaching high performing teams coupled with a strong desire to create departmental success.
- A working knowledge of import and export regulations and procedures.
- Willingness to chip in and support the achievement of team goals as needed.
- Personal resilience under pressure.
- Intermediate skills with WMSystems, MS Office, Excel (SAP & Manhattan desirable).
- Previous experience utilising warehouse tracking and operational software packages (Dematic, Voice Pick & RF desirable).
