missions :
Location: Lenexa, KS
The Data Scientist, part of the Operational, Digital and AI team in Manufacturing, leverages data to drive business growth and innovation. This role is responsible for an independent delivery of data science/ai solutions for one of Ceva’s biggest manufacturing sites. This role will be not only to suggest reasonable data science approaches and to implement them, but also to collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure alignment and integration and to get perfect business understanding and buy-in for implementation of the solutions.
Responsibilities and Key Duties: |
- Design and implement data solutions: Utilize techniques and tools such as machine learning, large language models, statistical modelling, data mining, and data visualization.
- Generate insights and recommendations: Analyse and interpret data to provide actionable solutions for business problems and opportunities.
- Communicate findings: Present data insights and solutions to various audiences, including senior management, business partners, and customers.
- Establish best practices: Follow and maintain Data Science standards, including the use of Git, Jira, and code deployment on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Collaborate: Work with other teams and departments to ensure data alignment and integration across the organization.

Technical / Functional Competencies: |
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and/or R, and other data science tools and languages. Demonstrable knowledge of the standard Data Science topics. Interest in statistical modelling.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles.
Demonstrable, professional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts and solutions to various audiences. Strong collaboration skills and “win as one team” mindset. Curious and passionate about data and innovations.Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
