We’re looking for aPet Food Development Specialist🐶to take the lead in creating new recipes, optimizing existing formulas, and turning market trends into healthy, delicious pet food.
🔍 What You’ll Do
- Develop and optimize pet food formulas aligned with FEDIAF/NRC nutritional standards.
- Track global trends in ingredients and processing technologies to inspire product innovation.
- Coordinate testing (e.g., digestibility, palatability), analyze outcomes, and adjust formulas accordingly.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers both in the Czech Republic and internationally.
- Collaborate with production, quality, procurement, and marketing teams to bring new products to market.
- Support sustainable packaging initiatives and contribute to the overall eco-friendly strategy.
- Provide technical input and documentation during product launches.
✅ What You Bring
A degree in animal nutrition, food technology, veterinary science, or a related field
Experience in product development, ideally in the pet food industry
Genuine passion for animals and strong interest in pet nutrition
Deep understanding of the nutritional needs of dogs and cats
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis, and regulatory research
Residence within commuting distance to the Brno office
Fluency in English and Czech (for communication with suppliers and global teams)
A valid driving licence
