We've got 25 years of unparalleled sloth experience with over 160 sloths, and we're buzzing with excitement to train new Ambassadors to join our passionate family today!
Your Incredible Mission as a Sloth World Ambassador:
Get ready for a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You'll be involved in EVERYTHING it takes to create a perfect sloth paradise and share its magic with the world:
- Elite Sloth Care & Husbandry: From crafting gourmet meals (yes, sloths are surprisingly discerning eaters!) and performing meticulous daily cleanups, to observing and documenting every adorable quirk, you'll be their dedicated caretaker.
- Health & Wellness Detective: You'll be on the front lines, constantly monitoring our sloths' health and behavior, reporting any subtle changes to our expert veterinary team. You might even assist with administering medications or treatments—our sloths trust us implicitly!
- Habitat Architect: Maintaining absolutely pristine and enriching environments for our sloths is paramount. You'll be meticulous in ensuring their indoor rainforest home is always perfect, from air quality to enrichment toys.
- Veterinary Wing-Person: You'll be a crucial support during veterinary procedures and emergencies, ensuring our sloths receive the best possible critical care when they need it most.
- Operations All-Star: From general facility operations to moving larger objects (up to 50 lbs, in a warm, humid, and exhilarating jungle environment!), you'll be an integral part of keeping Sloth World running smoothly. We're a team, and we all pitch in to get things done!
- Guided Tour Guru: Once you've mastered the art of sloth care, you'll evolve into a knowledgeable and engaging guide, leading captivating tours for our guests, sharing fascinating insights, and creating unforgettable interactions (including those magical moments with paying customers holding tickets!).
Who We're Looking For:
We know that sloth-specific experience is incredibly rare, and that's perfectly fine! What we absolutely do need is:
- A Heart for Animals: A genuine, outgoing love for animals, especially exotic and zoo animals, is a non-negotiable.
- Foundational Expertise: Strong experience or relevant education in animal care practices, animal husbandry principles, and a solid understanding of animal physiology and behavior.
- Communication Chameleon: Excellent communication skills are key, whether you're chatting with our amazing team, engaging with guests, or collaborating with our vet staff.
- Team Player Extraordinaire: You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, can juggle diverse tasks, and always maintain impeccable attention to detail.
