As a candidate, you will have an excellent ability to multitask, a positive attitude toward daily tasks, and strong communication skills. You will work directly with our veterinary technicians and/or veterinarians, as well as with the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures
- Restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and sample collection
- Monitor and care for animals post-surgery and during recovery
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian
- Educate clients on proper pet care and provide clear instructions for follow-up treatments
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing client communications
- Ensure all areas of the clinic are clean, organized, and properly stocked

This position is 30-35 hours per week and will include weekdays only (no weekends).
Full-time or Part-time will be considered.

Experience:
- Veterinary Assistant/Reception: 1 year (required)
License/Certification:
- Veterinary Assistant Training/Course/Program is an asset
