Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team in cleaning our animal hospital and assisting the Veterinary technicians when needed. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and love to keep things clean, sanitized and organized. This role involves working closely with pets and a fabulous team of technicians and doctors!

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital, including windows, floors, bathrooms, sinks, etc.
Clean and prepare surgical gowns and wraps
Clean, wrap and autoclave surgical instruments
Handle dogs and other animals safely and compassionately during visits.
Help with nail trims and other minor care.
Clean litter boxes, animal kennels, and clean out doggie waste cans.
Support the veterinary team in critical care situations as needed.

Skills

Detail and Task oriented, good at cleaning
Able to clean well and follow instructions
Must be reliable and have a positive attitude
Experience can be in the veterinary field or in the cleaning field, especially if it's medical or dental related. Pay will depend on experience.
Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 28 per week
