Veterinary Receptionist Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our animal care team. Duties included for this job include: check-in patients, update their records and owner information, schedule appointments, process payments, and encourage retail sales of food, toys, products and other items available in our clinic. You may also be asked to help prepare prescriptions or provide home-care instructions to pet owners. You must be able to lift 30-40lbs and handle large dogs and be comfortable handling cats. Excellent customer service and computer skills are required.
Veterinary Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
· Check-in animal patients
· Answer multi-line phone system
· Gather and certify pet and owner information
· Maintain records
· Schedule appointments
· Process payments
· Encourage retail sales
· Prepare prescriptions and explain instructions
· Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Veterinary Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Veterinary experience is a plus
· Experience with Cornerstone is a plus
· Excellent customer service skills
· Basic math skills and computer literacy
· Comfortable working with animals
Work Remotely
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
