Job Description:
As a Veterinary Technician, you will be an integral part of our clinical team, performing a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the health and comfort of our patients. This position requires strong technical skills, compassion, and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy yet caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and surgeries
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as blood work, radiographs, and urinalysis
- Monitor anesthesia and provide post-operative care
- Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed
- Educate clients on general pet care and preventative health
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for both patients and staff
- Provide emotional support to clients during difficult moments
Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing or prior experience in a veterinary clinic setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for animal care and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team
