Lallemand Inc. is seeking a Territory Business Manager in ID, UT, CO to promote the value of LAN probiotics, inoculants, yeast derivatives, and technical support services.

Lallemand Animal Nutrition (LAN) is a division of Lallemand Inc. dedicated to the development, production, and marketing of profitable, natural, and differentiated solutions for animal nutrition and health. The company conducts its research and development through a combination of internal resources and external collaborations. The R&D department's mission is to generate scientific references on product modes of action, efficacy, and to develop new microbial-based solutions.
Main FunctionsThe Territory Business Manager will represent LAN across Eastern Idaho, Utah, and Colorado, providing sales and technical support to existing clients and prospective customers, primarily within the dairy industry. The ideal candidate would be based between Twin Falls, ID, and Salt Lake City, UT. This position reports to the Western Sales Manager.
The key responsibility of the successful candidate is to promote the value of LAN probiotics, inoculants, yeast derivatives, and technical support services within the assigned region.
Responsibilities - Serve as the principal contact for sales to LAN customers in the assigned territory
- Work in a team environment, utilizing internal LAN technical resources and distributor partners
- Drive sales growth by supporting current customers and distributors and securing new accounts
- Manage territory sales support, prospecting, and customer relationships to maximize growth
- Organize meetings and events with clients, distributors, and prospects to present LAN’s technical expertise and solutions
- Attend key dairy and beef industry conventions, meetings, and networking events, professionally representing LAN
- Deliver compelling product presentations to nutritionists, producers, and farm staff
- Troubleshoot customer issues, provide solutions, and ensure satisfaction through follow-up
- Identify and develop new market opportunities within LAN’s core competencies
- Develop and implement a sales budget and strategic business plan
- Provide in-field service and support during harvest, benchmarking, and throughout the sales cycle
Required Technical Skills - Degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of ruminant nutrition, silage management, and fermentation
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience working in or with commercial dairy operations
- Dairy or livestock production experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
General Criteria & Personal Strengths - Overnight travel required: approximately 40% - 60%
- Ideally based between Twin Falls, ID, and Salt Lake City, UT (other nearby locations considered)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial setting
- Team player with strong organizational skills and time management
