The US Petcare Division is one of the largest businesses within Zoetis worldwide operations. We focus on maximizing the value of our broad veterinary solutions portfolio by building and sustaining relevant partnerships with veterinarians and pet owners.
We are seeking a dynamic, people-first leader to be the Director of Dermatology Portfolio, Medical Affairs. This position partners closely with the Therapeutic Area Strategy Lead to shape and deliver the dermatology portfolio strategy. A key focus is to drive the medical strategy, foster cross-functional collaboration internally and externally to deliver value to our customers and drive growth and excellence in dermatology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Portfolio Leadership
- Develops deep expertise in dermatology market trends, competitive landscape, customer needs, and brand performance and shares knowledge with teams to help influence strategies and actions.
- Partner with Therapeutic Area Strategy Lead to develop and execute strategic marketing plans including future innovative product launches
- Leads development and execution of Medical Strategy across the dermatology portfolio
- Demonstrates organizational awareness by cultivating strong partnerships with cross functional teams (e.g. Corporate & Specialty, Outcomes Research, Global Commercial Development and Medical Affairs teams, Regulatory Affairs, VMIPS, R&D, Veterinary Professional Services)
- Key medical deliverables:
- Product launch and lifecycle strategies
- Data generation and publication plan
- Leads Key Opinion Leader strategy to strengthen alliances and advocacy for the portfolio and Zoetis brand (advisory boards, studies, speaking engagements)
- Builds and maintains relationships with key animal health organizations critical to dermatology
- Medical education strategy
- Leading People
- Directly manages aligned Medical Affairs team members
- Provides coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to optimize team and individual performance
- Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and learning
- Delegates projects across the portfolio to team members to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Actively contributes and/or leads assigned initiatives and special projects relevant to the broader strategic direction and competencies of the Medical Affairs and Veterinary Professional Services teams

Education/Experience
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
- Advanced degree, board certification, or training a plus
- 10+ years of combined clinical and industry experience
- Medical Affairs/Technical Marketing experience
- Prior people leadership experience strongly preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,880-$230,000. Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range
for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This position is also eligible for long-term incentives.
