Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. As one of Amarillo’s only mixed animal veterinary hospitals, you will work closely with pet owners and support staff to diagnose and treat illnesses, perform surgeries, and promote preventive care on all species that you are comfortable with. Your expertise in veterinary medicine will be crucial in fostering a positive environment for both animals and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other necessary operations.
- Develop treatment plans for animals based on their individual needs.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state.
- A desire to do small animal surgery and/or large animal general medicine and surgery is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- A compassionate approach towards animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
