Welcome to BioWorks! We are hiring a Supply Chain Specialist who will oversee and coordinate key elements of the company supply chain. The main responsibilities include purchasing and production planning based upon coordination between the sales team, manufacturing team and customer service team, and maintaining overall inventory based on demand. The Supply Chain Specialist is in direct communication with suppliers and will analyze cost effectiveness of current contracts/relationships. The Supply Chain Specialist will exercise strong social skills and have both good verbal and written communication skills. Other Duties as assigned and including regular warehouse and inventory coordination work supporting the warehouse and shipping environment.

Education: BA/S degree in Business administration, logistics, or sales or related field
Experience: Two years up to and including 5 years

Strategy
- Monitor/develop forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities and provide estimates to suppliers
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, optimal inventory levels or optimize customer service
- Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance
- Understanding of accounting principles related to core activities
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Collaborate and lead projects regarding inventory and asset related values, lead and execute yearly outside inventory audit
- Support product development process by creating part numbers, managing bill of materials and understanding impact to new materials
Execution
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software — NetSuite and any related warehouse management software
- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information
- Excellent Communicating with internal team
- Flex support in warehouse environment to execute shipping and inventory responsibilities 2-4 hours per day.
