HOURLY STAFFING SPECIALIST – BILINGUAL SPANISH

PURPOSE AND GENERAL SUMMARY:
Pilgrim’s is looking for an Hourly Staffing Specialist to fill open hourly plant staffing positions through the recruiting, interview, job offer, and onboarding processes. The Hourly Staffing Specialist will provide HR support services to team members including interpreting and translating between Spanish and English. This role will be based in at our processing plant in Cold Spring, MN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determines applicant qualifications by screening and interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Posts openings and tracks applicants using internal tracking systems.
- Maintain knowledge of all plant operational changes and proactively focus on maintaining full staffing levels at all times.
- Actively engaged in team member relations and needs assessments.
- Comply with related federal and state regulations and laws, and company policies and procedures.
- Attracts applicants by utilizing various sources of media and networking. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Promotes company as best place to work providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking team members by providing interpreting services in various settings and translation of documents and messages to/from Spanish.
- Performs routine and general administrative work and multiple variations of team member-centered tasks and projects.
- Assist in data entry and tracking of team member forms
- Assists in proper storage of employee records and retention
- Other duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required, Associate’s Degree is preferred
- 1-2 years recruiting/HR experience is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Must have excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and listening
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and establish cooperative working relationships with people at all levels of the organization
- Must have proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be willing to work with diverse work groups and cultures and appreciate and promote inclusion
- Be efficient and detail-oriented and have the ability to work with little supervision
- Be able to maintain a positive attitude while dealing with multiple tasks
- Additional required skills and abilities include telephone skills, interviewing, professionalism, organization, project management, creativity, innovation, and maintaining confidentiality.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

- Base salary range of $ 20-22/hr; and
