Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, with the ability to diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues. This role requires excellent communication skills, both with pet owners and team members, as well as a thorough understanding of veterinary practices and procedures.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Perform surgeries and administer treatments as necessary, including animal catheterization.
- Provide preventative care, including vaccinations and health check-ups.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting findings, treatments, and progress.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, grooming, and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Experience
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Experience in animal handling and knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care is essential.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology is required for effective communication within the team.
- Previous experience in equine care or pet grooming is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners about their pets' health needs.
