Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling. This role is essential for ensuring the health and well-being of animals in our care, providing them with the attention and treatment they need.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians or veterinary technicians.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of animal housing areas.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to staff.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for all animals in our facility.
Requirements
- Prior kennel experience or equivalent animal care experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and animal physiology.
- Proficiency in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and restraint methods.
- Understanding of medication administration protocols for various species.
- Strong observational skills to monitor animal health and behavior.
