Job Title: Operations Administrator Hatchery & Egg Depot
Position reports to: Hatchery Manager
Location: Pocomoke Hatchery, Pocomoke, MD
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, including weekends and holidays as needed. Hours vary on days from 2am – 2:30pm depending on production.
Hours: Beginning at 5:00 a.m. until job is complete. This position generally averages 40 hours per week. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare:
- The jobsite is a bio-secure environment which requires onsite showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company.
- No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing.
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
- Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Experienced positions with a thorough knowledge of work area. Prefer one year certificate from college or technical school or +2 years related experience or training.
- Must possess knowledge in Microsoft Excel such as formatting page set up printing and basic formulas such as addition subtraction multiplication division.
- Must possess basic knowledge in Microsoft Outlook such as sending emails attaching files to outgoing emails and opening emails and attachments.
- Must be able to take direction on different projects and be self-motivated to accomplish the task.

SUMMARY: This position may be responsible for any of the following duties and others as assigned:
- Maintaining warehouse inventory control.
- Assisting/backup for incoming phone calls and visitors.
- Overseeing daily operations/maintenance for the physical office, egg depot, laboratory, building and grounds.
- Reconciling egg inventories and analyzing flock information for Proving Grounds farms.
- Entering and maintaining data into the FPS system for Proving Grounds grandparent farms including generating production performance reports for these locations.
- Projecting and coordinating United States byproduct sales hatched.
- Entering and maintaining mortality information for Proving Grounds.
- Coordinate Egg Packer data and reports.
- Knowledge of Genisis, FPS and CHS is a plus.
Accountability/Role: Provides coordination and support of moderately complex assignments within a department or groups. Work is performed under general supervision and requires incumbents to exercise some independence. Typically requires comprehensive knowledge and understanding of how the operations of the department impact other related work units. Offers tactical guidance or recommendation to internal and external customers to resolve issues within established guidelines. Strong customer service skills.
Mathematical Skills: Requires use of advanced mathematical formulas and calculations to analyze complex financial and/or statistical information.
Computer Skills: Requires intermediate computer skills; knowledge and skill with macros and formulas; ability to extract data from applications and summarize them into manageable data points.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
