Experienced Zookeeper Wanted – Join Cool Companions Clubhouse
Cool Companions Clubhouse is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Zookeeper with experience across a wide range of Australian species. This role is hands-on and varied, ideal for someone passionate about animal care and working with people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering food to animals and collecting dirty dishes afterward
- Cleaning and sanitizing dishes to prepare for the next day
- Maintaining animal enclosures daily to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Ensuring fresh water is always available for the animals
- Leading and supporting programs for NDIS participants, helping them overcome fears of animals, learn to identify species, and participate in feeding, cleaning, and maintenance activities
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience with a wide variety of Australian native animals
- Practical skills in feeding, cleaning, and enclosure maintenance
- Patience and creativity in working with people with disabilities, especially through NDIS programs
- A team player who is compassionate and enthusiastic about education and animal welfare
