Job Description: Our client is seeking a versatile Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a long-standing rural practice in Roma, serving both companion animals and production livestock with dedication. The surgery offers modern veterinary services across species, from dogs and cats to horses and cattle, combining small animal and large animal medicine in a supportive, close-knit team.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering wellness, diagnostics and surgical care for small animals (dogs, cats) and managing livestock and equine health tasks
- Carrying out large animal field work including pregnancy diagnosis, bull breeding soundness exams, and emergency interventions
- Performing dental, soft tissue and orthopedic procedures as part of mixed practice caseloads
- Liaising with clients across species to provide clear preventive health plans, nutrition advice, and treatment options
- Supporting after-hours emergency services and occasionally travelling to remote field sites
