The Opportunity:
As a People Systems Specialist, you'll lead the management and ongoing optimisation of Dayforce, ensuring it evolves with the needs of our growing business. You'll be the go-to expert for system-related queries and issues, ensuring the platform runs smoothly to support equally, both the business and our people. This role works closely with Payroll, HR, IT, and Operations providing a critical link between technology and the team members experience. You'll play a key part in shaping the future of our people systems and unlocking the full potential of our HCM ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Management: Coordinate software updates and enhancements, manage user access, maintain master data, and develop system workflows.
- Payroll & HR Support: Act as the key contact for system-related queries and issues, maintain the system to ensure compliance with Awards and legislation, and support year-end processes.
- Process Improvement: Document system processes, manage user acceptance testing, identify improvement opportunities, and develop user training materials.
- Reporting & Data Integrity: Develop operational reports to ensure accuracy is being maintained and the movement of data is seamless.
Skills & Experience
Required:
- A good understanding of payroll legislation and award interpretation.
- 3+ years of work experience in a across Human Resources, Payroll, or IT.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- A continuous improvement and service-oriented work ethic.
- The ability to troubleshoot system issues through methodical analysis.
- Excellent documentation skills and the ability to understand business processes.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with Dayforce.
- Previous experience in the retail industry.
- An understanding of change management principles.
