About the Role:
As a Stock Controller your responsibility centralises around the effective and efficient management of our inventory across the businesses. Your diligence and organisation will allow you to manage the records and systems we use to effectively move stock around our network, ensuring that our stores are receiving the appropriate allocations of product. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of shipments, damaged items, and shipping timelines. You will supporting the broader Distribution Centre team in maximising their efficiency to exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and maintain the records of inventory using our modern inventory software.
- Oversee the handling of goods, ensuring that compliance guidelines and auditing are undertaken on a regular basis.
- Maximise efficiency by ensuring the storage and availability of items allows for safe and efficient distribution.
- Support the planning and assessment of inventory levels, whilst ensuring that discrepancies are address in a timely and effective manner.
- Support team members in applying department guidelines and best practice methodology
Experience and Skills:
- 1-2 years working within a eCommerce or fast-moving consumer goods distribution centre with a mixture of in-store and online logistics.
- Strong MS Office and Excell skills with the ability to confidently manage spreadsheets.
- Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills with the ability to independently calculate data.
- Excellent communication skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
- A strong ability to work independently and autonomously, whilst also working effectively within a large team.
