We are looking for a manager to take over the duties of our current manager who is retiring after 12 years working with us.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJob Description:\r\n\r\nLead a small team of employees in quality animal care, efficient animal production incorporating pride in their work and encouraging everyone’s problem- solving skills. Building a strong connection with us, our vet and with other people in the swine industry is important. You will be leading in monitoring herd health, pig care, barn routines, record keeping according to CPE standards and barn maintenance. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSkills, Experience, Training:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tWe value experience as well as formal education in animal husbandry.\r\n\tYou should live and breathe biosecurity.\r\n\tYou should have experience in identifying pig diseases and health concerns.\r\n\tYou should have experience in organizing barn activities - feed deliveries, pig movements, room cleaning, health checks and vaccinations\r\n\tYou should be familiar with the requirements of the CPE program.
