Our management teams consist of leaders who are committed to establishing and promoting a culture of safety amongst team members across the United States and Canada. Individuals in these roles also possess key skills of a disciplined safety mindset hands-on leadership and overall knowledge of asset management.To guide the learning and development of college students interested in pursuing a career as a leader in a grain operations facility The Andersons has built a management trainee program. All individuals in the Grain Operations Supervisor Trainee Program receive a broad and hands-on experience in all aspects of grain operations including but not limited to:Operations performanceInventory managementTeam development and leadershipGrain elevator safetyElevator financialsAll individuals are required to complete multiple rotations within our North America based asset locations over the course of 12-18 months based on business needs and performance. Day to Day Responsibilities of Grain Operations Supervisor Trainees include:Motivate train develop and lead team of hourly personnel at facilityPartner with merchandising team to coordinate all transportation and maintenance needs for the facility to ensure on-time deliveriesDevelop knowledge of product quality quantity and inventoriesEstablish promote and enforce a culture of safety amongst a diverse teamDevelop leadership skills to provide a base knowledge for future management opportunitiesFor the Grain Operations Supervisor Trainee program we are looking for individuals who meet the following requirements:A Bachelorâs Degree in Agriculture Engineering or Business Management or related fieldOne year of relevant work experience or internshipsFluent in English knowledge of second language is a plusWillingness to travel and flexibility to relocateDemonstrate leadership ability and ability to influence othersSelf-starter who is highly motivated with the ability to develop creative solutionsAble to work independently and in a team environmentExperience in customer service and able to proactively identify and resolve issuesExcellent written and verbal skills and detail-oriented in the areas that require analysis
