AgroFresh is hiring an Account Manager to join our team remotely in West Michigan ideally located between Benton Harbor to Traverse City. In this role you’ll be at the frontline of customer engagement, responsible for delivering value, satisfaction, and growth. You will manage the territory to meet or exceed sales and profitability goals through strategic planning, customer relationship management, and the effective promotion of AgroFresh solutions.

What you will be doing:
- Achieve Sales & Profitability Targets: Drive revenue, market share, and contribution in line with yearly financial goals. Proactively manage sales forecasts and commercial pricing policies.
- Customer Account Management: Prioritize business with creditworthy customers, support collections through relationship management, and ensure alignment with payment terms.
- Business Planning & Market Development: Develop and maintain territory business plans in CRM. Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and tailor product positioning strategies.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and execute account plans, identify customer needs, and deliver tailored value propositions with ethical, integrity-driven engagement.
- Product Education & Technical Support: Guide customers on correct product usage and applications. Facilitate knowledge transfer and help troubleshoot issues.
- Technology & Innovation Advocacy: Leverage and promote digital and scientific technologies as part of the AgroFresh offering. Serve as a key liaison between customers and regional support teams.
- Commercial Demonstrations: Conduct field trials and demos to support product adoption, using standard protocols to demonstrate value and resolve technical challenges.
- Industry Engagement: Represent AgroFresh at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations to build relationships and expand visibility.
- Continuous Learning & Development: Stay current on AgroFresh products, customer needs, and industry regulations. Share insights with leadership to enhance processes and customer focus.
This job is for you if you have:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or related field)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience
- Proven track record of sales success
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel up to 30–40% based on territory
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to educate others on solutions
- CRM experience preferred

- Prior experience in pre or post-harvest with growers, packers and distributors
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and environments
