Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, providing preventative care, and ensuring the well-being of pets and other animals under our care. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners, staff, and other veterinary professionals to deliver high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status and diagnose medical conditions.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as necessary.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Communicate effectively with staff and pet owners regarding treatment plans and animal care.
- Provide guidance on animal husbandry, nutrition, and overall wellness to pet owners.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting all treatments and observations.
- Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques during examinations and procedures.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and are fully licensed in Ontario.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
