We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our small animal practice in Gladstone on a casual basis.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team on a casual basis.

This is a hands-on nursing role where you’ll be involved in both hospital and surgical nursing duties. You’ll need to be confident in:

Monitoring anaesthetics
Pre and post-operative care
Collecting and running blood/urine samples using Idexx machines
Dental procedures
Radiology
IV placement and fluid therapy
Administering medications
Admitting and discharging patients

This casual role may become a permanent ongoing position in the future for the right person.

About You

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician Degree is preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills
Passionate about surgery and anaesthetics
Committed to promoting a positive workplace culture
Enjoy mentoring and supporting others
Ready to step in and contribute from day one
