Kennel Assistant
Castle Peak Veterinary Service, Eagle, CO

We are looking for a caring and dependable Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate loves animals, works well in a team environment, and is dedicated to providing excellent care for pets in our facility.

This is a 4 day per week position with no evenings. One weekend day may be required.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily care for boarding dogs and cats
Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable housing areas for all animals
Assist with laundry, dishwashing, and facility sanitation
Monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or discomfort and report concerns to the veterinary team
Safely handle and restrain animals as needed
Assist with admitting and discharging pets for boarding
Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with pet owners

Qualifications:

Previous animal care experience preferred, but not required
Experience with cleaning
Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Compassionate, positive attitude toward animals and people
