This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a Working Ranch Manager to oversee the daily operations of a progressive cow/calf ranch in Missouri. The ideal candidate will be a highly capable, hands-on leader with a passion for livestock management, forage production, and ranch operations. This role requires a motivated individual who can operate independently, while maintaining close communication with the absentee owner and ensuring the ranch runs efficiently and profitably.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPlan, perform, and oversee all day-to-day operations of cow/calf ranch.\r\n\tManage pasture rotations, forage production, and hay operations.\r\n\tExecute animal health monitoring, feeding, calving assistance, and processing.\r\n\tPerform and coordinate maintenance of ranch infrastructure, fences, and equipment.\r\n\tMonitor feed and forage inventory; coordinate ordering of supplies including hay and pellets.\r\n\tTrack and report daily activities including herd health, feed consumption, and facility status.\r\n\tSupervise and assist with capital projects, vendor interactions, and seasonal tasks.\r\n\tEnsure safety and security of team members, livestock, equipment, and facilities.\r\n\tPerform duties in all weather and working conditions, including remote and rugged terrain.\r\n\tFlex work hours seasonally, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nQualifications:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tStrong desire to be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial work environment.\r\n\tProven leadership and self-management skills in agricultural or ranch operations.\r\n\tExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships.\r\n\tMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).\r\n\tComfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a high-functioning team.\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple responsibilities under pressure.\r\n\tValid driver s license required; CDL preferred.\r\n\tSkilled in operating ranch equipment and machinery (tractors, trucks, balers, UTV/ATVs, pumps, etc.).\r\n\tExperience in equipment maintenance, general repairs, and fencing; welding a plus.\r\n\tPhysically capable of demanding labor in varying weather and terrain.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPreferred Experience:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrior experience managing or assistant managing a cow/calf operation.\r\n\tKnowledge of rotational grazing systems, pasture health, and livestock nutrition.\r\n\tFamiliarity with ranch record-keeping systems and basic budgeting principles.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nBENEFITS:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHousing, Utilities, Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance, Retirement, Work Vehicle\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
