Fuel/Propane Delivery Driver
REPORTS TO: Petroleum Manager
DEPARTMENT: Petroleum Department
EEO Classification: Sales
Primary Purpose: Deliver fuel/propane to customer safely and efficiently in a timely manner.
General Description: Knowledgeable of all petroleum products Ray-Carroll Fuels, LLC handles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Must be 21 years of age and must have valid CDL drivers, license minimum Class B.
Ensure safety compliance, through plant inspections, near miss and unsafe condition reporting and direct communication with location management in regards to safety.
Follow all applicable State and Federal DOT Rules and Regulations.
Read, understand and follow all Ray-Carroll Fuels, LLC policies and procedures.
Comply with all Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations, and policies.
Operate all equipment & vehicles according to Ray-Carroll Fuels, LLC. Policies and procedures along with local, state and federal laws.
Comply with all aspects of Ray-Carroll Fuels, LLC Spill Prevention Control and countermeasures program (SPCC), including all documentation.
Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, such as all items on the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
Has a working knowledge of the safety related items associated with vehicle operation and does not operate a commercial motor vehicle if a safety related items are discovered until deficiency is corrected.
Maintains all equipment associated with department to present a professional appearance.
Maintain inventory to meet the needs of Ray-Carroll Fuels, LLC customer base for items such as oils, fuels, filters, pumps, hoses, etc....
Deliver fuel or propane to customers in a timely manner.
Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on trucks, trailers, pickups etc... by hand or by forklift truck. Ensures loads are evenly balanced and distributed from the front of the trailer to the back and from side to side, as well as ensuring loads are in accordance with all DOT regulations (load securement, axles etc...).
OTHER DUTIES:
Able to build morale and group commitments to achieve goals and objectives.
Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
Provide courteous customer service.
Report even minor injuries using the employee injury report form.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
