Job Description: Our client is seeking a proactive Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly first-opinion team on a 12-month maternity cover beginning in December. You’ll work within a well-equipped setting, handling a varied caseload across consults, routine surgery, and dental care, with day-to-day support from experienced clinicians.
This position offers a balanced 4-day working pattern with no out-of-hours, allowing you to focus on patient care and client communication during regular hours. You’ll have access to modern diagnostics and an internal advice network spanning soft tissue, ortho, ophthalmology, cardiology, imaging, and medicine, alongside ongoing development in leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, and resilience.
Package:
- 4-day working week (40 hours) with a consistent schedule and protected time for admin where practicable
- No out-of-hours; 1 in 3 Saturday mornings with an early-finish pattern the following week
