Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy, supportive GP team on a permanent contract (30–40 hours). You’ll balance consults, dentistry and day-case soft-tissue procedures, working within a well-organized clinic day that supports careful workups, clear communication and steady case continuity.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Shaping your consult diary with concise histories and clear next-step plans
- Delivering routine surgeries and dentals with safety briefings and smooth theatre turnovers
- Using imaging and in-house testing to progress cases without delay
- Explaining options and costs plainly, scheduling sensible rechecks for continuity
- Pitching in across admits, discharges and callbacks to keep the day flowing
