Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant or credentialed Technician to join our team. This role involves assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while also supporting the clinic's operations.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of animals.
Perform animal handling and restraint techniques to facilitate examinations and treatments.
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian, ensuring proper dosage and timing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including examination rooms, kennels, and surgical areas.
Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinarian.
Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with team members and clients.
Assist with laboratory work, including sample collection and processing.
Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments and managing client communications when necessary.

Requirements

1 year previous experience in a veterinary setting or experience in a similar role.
Strong skills in animal handling.
Understanding of veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude towards animals and their owners is essential for success in this role.
