Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individuals what are passionate about precision ag technology. Through this position, you will be working side-by-side with major agricultural machinery manufacturer dealers to help drive precision technology adoption in the High Value Crop production system (tree nuts, citrus/stone fruit, grapes/vines, bedded crops such as broccoli, carrots, berries, etc.). This is a field position where you will work independently and as a team with dealers, engineers, customers, and the marketing team to identify, prioritize, install, and evaluate potential solutions within your area of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, investigate technical requirements, install and test various “off the shelf” precision technology solutions applied to the HVC production system
- If necessary, identify, communicate, and test specific hardware/software changes needed to make solutions function as needed
- After solutions are verified, support dealer training programs to introduce them to dealer staff.
- Support risk analysis and other discovery work.
- As realized, communicate market conditions and trends to production system leadership
- Maintain positive working relationships with customers, dealers, field sales team, production system teams.
Requirements
- Valid US Driver’s license with clean driving record
- Proven, exceptional experience selling, installing, and supporting precision ag technology.
- Proven proficiency in agricultural machinery operation and ability to pass certification requirements
- Experience using Agricultural touchscreen displays
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to effectively communicate the technical requirements and value delivered to a varied group of stakeholders (engineering, suppliers, marketing, customers, etc.).
- Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural production and mechanical inclination
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Willing to travel for two week or more periods if necessary
- Out-going, positive attitude that invites dealers and customers to come alongside you to learn
- Ability to work long hours. Some night operations will be necessary
Details:
Job Duration: Full-Time
Location: Western Territory - Fresno, Visalia, or Sacramento, California (Traveling is required)
Compensation: $60,000- 70,000 (DOE) Pay plus bonuses based on experience . All travel expenses paid by Sage Ag Inc.
