Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tech Lead ATE Engineer to lead our Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) engineering team. This role is critical in supporting and maintaining production line ATE systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring seamless integration of testing solutions across multiple product lines. You will lead technical projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee the implementation of advanced testing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, integration, and maintenance of ATE systems across multiple projects and production lines.
- Manage ATE projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering, design reviews, gate approvals, scheduling, and presentations.
- Oversee tester bring-up, integration of mechanical, electronic, embedded, and software components.
- Coordinate activities with hardware, software, embedded, mechanical teams, and external subcontractors.
- Define and manage tester BOMs, documentation, and transfer processes to production and other manufacturing sites.
- Provide Tier 2 support for ATE systems in production, including troubleshooting, calibration, and yield improvement.
- Implement and manage ATE Azure DevOps pipelines for code, sequence, and tester review, execution, and monitoring.
- Manage ATE servers, platforms, and site infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain database analysis tools (e.g., Snowflake) for test data analytics and reporting.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is created, verified, and maintained according to company standards.
- Mentor and guide ATE engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in ATE processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ATE system integration, development, and support.
- Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in hardware, networks, and embedded systems.
- Experience with National Instruments TestStand or equivalent test management software.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, VBScript, etc.) and test automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills for test data analysis and yield improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and SQL databases.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Knowledge of server and platform management.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle processes and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience working with subcontractors and managing procurement for prototype parts.
