Red River Forage is a rapidly growing agriculture company based out of Morris Manitoba with satellite farms that produces, processes and exports animal feed across North America (and some overseas). We are looking for someone with a strong set of sales leadership skills to aggressively spearhead our sales and marketing efforts to market our current product and also new product offerings.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRed River Forage has developed an innovative harvesting process to produce dry “hay in a day” by dehydrating the alfalfa the same day as cutting and eliminating weather risk of drydown in the field and retaining maximum quality and value. This dehydrated alfalfa is a huge leap forward in product value and essentially sells itself, with large orders and great customer feedback so far. The sales and marketing efforts are meant to hit the ground running, maximize the value of the production and help scale up sales and marketing efforts.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOur growing team is looking ahead to fill this role to increase our current marketing efforts and strategically position the company for rapid sales growth to match the growing year over year production. The successful applicant must have a passion for “the sale” and demonstrate soft negotiating but strong leadership skills in a fast paced agriculture environment. Our work environment is team minded/positive and is highly rewarding to those who value a sense of accomplishment and a job well done.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJob will entail the following tasks:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tLeading and coaching the sales team to be effective and efficient\r\n\tManage and analyze the sales pipeline from start to finish. Generating new leads to maintaining positive customer relations\r\n\tResearch market demand for existing and new products and pivot the sales team to capitalize on opportunity\r\n\tSales budgeting/reporting and managing inventory levels\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCandidate must have the following characteristics:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPassionate sales leader hungry for results\r\n\tStrong understanding of people and good communication\r\n\tIntuitive nature with an eye for opportunity\r\n\tPersuasive soft negotiating abilities\r\n\tUnderstanding of excel spreadsheets and sales reporting\r\n\tWell organized with details and planning\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPrerequisite experience:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrevious experience in sales management\r\n\tExperience leading and managing a team\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe right applicant will receive a base salary between $80-100k with an additional expected $50k in commissions/bonuses for a total of $130-150k compensation. Future increases in sales commissions expected to quickly grow beyond that.
