GREENHOUSE ASSISTANT
PART TIME; NON EXEMPT
POSITION SUMMARY
The Seasonal Part Time Greenhouse Assistant is a non exempt position located in Enterprise, supervised by the Head Grower. The Assistant will be responsible for carrying out daily task assigned by the Head Grower. The Assistant will join with other staff in a high-level commitment to provide an excellent quality of life for the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served through Ranch programing.
A 20-hour/week scheduled will be scheduled at hire, with most hours being completed Monday through
Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be scheduled with advance notice.
Schedule and hours will be adjusted according to the needs of Down Home Ranch.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Implements the goals Enterprise
• Work in the greenhouse completing daily task which may include: planting, watering, moving,
trimming, packaging and shipping of plants
• Provides guidance and supervision to assigned volunteers
• Maintains the appearance of spaces utilized
• Delivers product and ensures vehicles are clean and well-kept
• Is aware of the requirement for documentation, and is able to manage these requirements
effectively
• Attends staff meetings, cross functional committees, workshops and trainings
• Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum age of 21; excellent driving record and able to pass extensive background
investigation
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Detail-oriented, works well under pressure, takes initiative to solve problems, meets deadlines
• Experience and comfortable with business software
• Completes work with a high degree of autonomy
• Reads and complies with all company policies and procedures, such as in the Down Home Ranch
Employee Handbook.
• Able to write and prepare documentation and reports, as requested.
• Experience with data entry into an electronic medical record or database
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate to
employees at all levels of the organization
• Able to maintain confidentiality under requirements of the HIPAA statutes
• Team player with ability to coordinate and work closely with others
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Capable of stooping, kneeling, sitting and bending
• Able to stand for long periods
