Role: Rural Task Force Volunteer - Holderness Farm Watch

Humberside Police are currently inviting applications from individuals interested in volunteering alongside our dedicated Rural Task Force as part of the Farm Watch initiative.
This rewarding volunteer role will involve working closely with the Rural Task Force to help raise awareness of rural, wildlife, and heritage crime across our communities. Volunteers will play a key part in supporting crime prevention efforts and promoting safety and vigilance in rural areas.
It's a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insight into rural policing operations, develop new skills, and make a meaningful contribution to protecting the countryside.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide Crime Prevention advice and face to face interaction with Rural Community members including farmers, landowners and gamekeepers.
• Assist with multi-agency operations with organisations such as RSPCA, Farmwatch, National Wildlife Crime Unit and cross border forces.
• Provide support with pro-active operations targeting hot spot areas for Rural Theft, Rural Criminal Damage and poaching/wildlife offences.
• Provide support with re-active crime prevention measures in line with high value property marking and registering initiatives.
• Assist with intelligence gathering to build on gaps around Rural, Wildlife and Heritage Crime.
• Attend Agricultural shows and events to support the Rural Task Force work and raise awareness of Rural, Wildlife and Heritage Crime.
• To assist in the maintenance and distribution of a regular newsletter

Pre - Employment Checks and Eligibility:
• Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria of at least 3 years continuous residency in the UK to apply for roles with Humberside Police.
• Successful candidates will undergo a vetting procedure pre-requisite of employment. (Please note, with holding any information asked by the vetting department, may delay the vetting procedure, or result in your vetting been refused and the offer of employment been withdrawn)
• Tattoo's will be reviewed as a part of the recruitment process to ensure we maintain a level of professional standards and to make sure the images do not cause offence or are unacceptable.
