Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Duties
As a Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the health and well-being of animals under our care. Your duties will include:
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
- Performing laboratory tests and analyzing results
- Administering medications and vaccinations as directed
- Monitoring animal vital signs and providing critical care when necessary
- Handling and restraining animals safely during procedures
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
- Educating pet owners on proper animal care and post-operative instructions
- Utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure cleanliness in all procedures
- Performing dental cleanings and understanding dental terminology
Experience
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in veterinary settings, with specific skills including:
- Veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Experience in animal husbandry, including dog handling
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment, including X-ray technology
- Understanding of animal physiology, anatomy, and catheterization techniques
