We are a well-established mixed-animal veterinary practice located in the beautiful Southwestern region of Colorado, providing comprehensive care for both companion and large animals. The team combines progressive medicine and surgery with a compassionate, collaborative approach, ensuring every patient receives high-quality, personalised care.
As the practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, support our dedicated team, and help shape the future direction of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Lead, coach, and support a diverse team of veterinary professionals.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development.
- Create and maintain efficient staff schedules that balance patient needs and labour goals.
- Encourage teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Financial & Operational Management
- Oversee daily financial operations including budgeting, payroll, and P&L performance.
- Monitor KPIs and develop action plans to drive growth and profitability.
- Ensure accurate billing, inventory control, and cost-effective operations.
- Implement and refine practice procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
Client & Community Relations
- Champion a culture of exceptional client service and communication.
- Handle feedback and client concerns in a professional and solutions-focused manner.
- Support marketing and outreach initiatives to strengthen community relationships.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, health and safety standards, and employment laws.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient and business records.
- Oversee facility upkeep, equipment maintenance, and technology management.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of management experience, ideally in a veterinary or healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of P&L, inventory, and labour management.
- Experience in mixed-animal or large-animal practice is highly desirable.
- CVPM, CVBL, or a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred.
- Confident communicator with excellent leadership and organisational skills.
