Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards. Recommend modifications to existing, or suggest new, standards, methods, and procedures. Works closely with the Quality Team to help identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality. The Specialist also performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections and/or standard microbiological, chemical, physical or sensory testing and assays on products, materials, components, etc. at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAccountabilities:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nProduct Hold & Release:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tResponsible for releasing or holding finished product \r\n\tResponsible for holding product and rework documentation review and disposition. \r\n\tTrack non-conforming inventory \r\n\tReport all KPI information for the department (ex. Report out finished product scrap) \r\n\tInvolved in trace and recall procedures and support traceability exercise. \r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSystems:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSAP QM Super user- responsible for learning, implementing, teaching, maintaining, and reporting data from the GLOBE QM module of SAP \r\n\tRelease coordination, Holds, and Rework dispositions \r\n\tTraceability for recall & withdrawal \r\n\tManage & update Quality Master Data \r\n\tInspection plan creation & management, ensure alignment with QMS & HACCP \r\n\tAs the compliance champion for the plant, be the Intelex Superuser for Quality, responsibilities include \r\n\tOverall trainer & superuser for all applications within quality \r\n\tParticipate in applicable portions of 3rd party and customer audits \r\n\tDocument Control owner: \r\n\tReview new and existing corporate quality policies and procedures. Update internal plant documents as necessary. \r\n\tDevelop plant-wide documentation control process to meet audit requirements. \r\n\tResponsible for Net Contents system support & reporting: \r\n\tSupports the functionality of Net Contents software on the factory floor \r\n\tComplete and assess lot summary reports for compliance \r\n\tOversee Batch status & WMS \r\n\tHold & Release within warehouse systems \r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nFloor Support:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAudits GMPs, procedures and paperwork on the production floor \r\n\tConducts coaching and training to employees \r\n\tIdentifies gaps in procedures or processes \r\n\tSupports Improvement initiatives (e.g., complaints, holds) with Factory, and drives improvement projects \r\n\tMaintain consumer complaint awareness through the distribution of top complaints for production lines \r\n\tDaily Review of HACCP documentation on the Shop Floor \r\n\tDaily Behavior-Based Quality observations \r\n\tConducts special projects as assigned \r\n\tSupport needed for sample shipment \r\n\tAble to work flexible hours and able to cover off shifts \r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nQualifications.\r\n\r\n\r\n\tB.S. Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field, required. \r\n\tPreferably 1-3 years of manufacturing and or laboratory (1-3 years) experience in the food industry (internship experiences will be considered). \r\n\tSound mathematical and basic food science understanding. \r\n\tGood knowledge of statistics and interpretation of experimental data \r\n\tBasic understanding of the manufacturing environment and production operations. \r\n\tDetail- oriented, take initiative, and ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. \r\n\tStrong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and basic food regulatory requirements. \r\n\tProficiency in SAP is preferred\r\n\t \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nLeadership Principles.\r\n\r\nOur principles, each with related practices, guide our actions across the organization. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.\r\n
