The Lakeville Animal Clinic located in Oxford Michigan is looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking licensed veterinary technician to become part of our family. We are a 3 doctor small animal practice that prides itself on client education and top of the line quality patient care. Our recently renovated practice includes digital dental and body radiography, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, surgical suite, 2 treatment areas, dedicated euthanasia room, in house Idexx laboratory equipment and breakroom with a popcorn machine.

Responsibilities
- Assist doctors in surgical and dental procedures.
- Utilize veterinary technician certification to assist in various medical procedures.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills when interacting with pet owners and colleagues.
- Conduct venipuncture procedures with precision and care.
- Provide support in animal catheterization and restraint when necessary.
- Apply veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology in daily tasks.
- Ensure proper animal care and pet care standards are met at all times.
- Lead team members in Tech appointments to include skin, ears, vaccines and lab work.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver high-quality care to all animals.
- Assist in X-ray procedures and other diagnostic imaging techniques.

Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician Certification
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in blood sampling
- Proficiency in animal catheterization
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Background in animal husbandry
- Understanding of animal physiology
- Laboratory experience
- Surgical experience
- Dental experience
- Animal care experience
- Knowledge of X-Ray is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.25 - $26.80 per hour
