Twin Lakes Veterinary Services is a small, but growing, mixed animal, privately owned practice in quaint Monticello, KY on beautiful Lake Cumberland.
Featuring a high staff to doctor ratio, AI generated note taking capabilities, cloud-based software, in house labs, digital radiology (including a portable unit), large animal ultrasound with basic small animal capabilities, and therapy laser, TLVS prides itself in providing top quality medicine in a rural, underserved area. *(Area qualifies for state and federal loan repayment programs.) As a privately owned practice, doctors are free to practice medicine as they see fit.
Owned and managed by working moms (our manager has a crib in her office) and having several young mothers on staff, TLVS emphasizes work-life balance and actually practices putting family first. Starting with a 4 day (8:00 am - 5:00 pm with 30 minute lunch) work week with no scheduled weekend hours. As a truly unicorn, tight knit team, everyone at TLVS shares a special bond and friendship; but their own family is their priority.
Some on call is required. (Additional pay provided to compensate after hours emergencies.) Benefits include: PTO, supplemental insurance, and retirement. Health insurance stipend can be discussed.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other necessary operations.
- Provide emergency care for injured or ill animals.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry and handling techniques.
- Proficiency in equine and ruminant care and understanding of their specific health needs.
- Familiarity with animal physiology and anatomy to effectively diagnose conditions.
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and restraint techniques safely.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with pet owners and team members.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care to all animals.
