Job Summary
This part-time, grant-funded position serves as a strategic liaison between the National Sea Grant Office (NSGO), the Sea Grant Association (SGA), and the broader U.S. aquaculture community. The role is designed to enhance communication, collaboration, and alignment between Sea Grant programs and aquaculture stakeholders. The position requires an average commitment of 12–15 hours per week and includes occasional travel to national aquaculture meetings and events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Actively contribute as a member of NSGO’s aquaculture team, supporting national priorities and initiatives.

Strengthen relationships and communication pathways between the Sea Grant Association and key partners within the aquaculture sector.

Facilitate the development and implementation of workforce development initiatives for both Sea Grant staff and the aquaculture industry.

Collect and analyze stakeholder feedback to guide and improve the liaison role’s relevance and impact.

Promote, track, and report on progress related to the Sea Grant 10-Year Aquaculture Roadmap.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support program goals and evolving needs.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in adult education, fisheries, aquaculture, animal sciences or a related field and 20 years of experience working with the aquaculture community.
