Position OverviewThis position is responsible for assisting with the collection and testing raw materials and finished products.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform activities associated with the collection preparation and testing of samples.Document test results identify issues and escalate for resolution.Document and report finished product meets prescribed standards.Assist in calibration of analytical instrumentation; maintain associated documentation.Monitor test and assist in the repair and maintenance of equipment and environmental systems if applicable.Perform general housekeeping activities.What is expected of you and others at this levelIntermediate skills in own work area within an analytical/scientific method or operational processApplies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertiseWorks within standard operation procedures and/or scientific methodsWorks with a moderate degree of supervisionMinimum Qualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required Associateâs Degree preferred1-3 yearsâ relevant experience requiredWorking knowledge of laboratory procedures and automated laboratory equipment HPLC GCProficiency in office computer software e.g. word processing e-mail and spreadsheetsIntermediate capability with computer software such as JMP Excel and Word.ÂKnowledge and proficiency in the handling of hazardous materials is preferredPhysical Requirements and Working EnvironmentWorking conditions include laboratory work as well as office workMust be able to sit/stand for an extended period of timeExposure to dust chemicals hazardous materials etc.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
