Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to join their friendly, community-based practice in Culverden. This position offers exposure to a varied caseload across dairy, sheep, and small animal work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both farm and companion animal medicine. The clinic has a growing dairy client base and is well-regarded for providing high-quality, compassionate care within a supportive team environment.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering veterinary care for dairy, sheep, and companion animal patients
- Providing on-farm herd health, reproduction, and production medicine services
- Carrying out small animal consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
- Supporting clients through education on preventive health and management plans
- Collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure excellent service across all species
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification
- Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Council of New Zealand
- Minimum three years’ experience in mixed practice preferred
- Strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills
- Motivated and adaptable approach to varied daily work
