Job Description: Our client is seeking an Out-of-Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join a dedicated emergency service based on the Isle of Wight. This position is ideal if you are drawn to ECC work but still want a rota that allows generous time off to recharge and enjoy life in a beautiful coastal setting.
Working a pattern of seven nights on followed by fourteen nights off, you’ll provide overnight and weekend care for emergencies and inpatients, supported by modern hospital facilities and a committed clinical team. The role offers the chance to consolidate your emergency skills, with structured backing for ongoing professional development and access to advanced equipment on site.
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in emergency and critical care
- Previous ECC or out-of-hours experience is an advantage but not essential with the right attitude
- Ability to work confidently in sole charge with RVN support during night shifts
- Resilient, compassionate approach, with good communication skills and clinical judgement
