Technicians use knowledge of process and operating procedures to control, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment used to package goods into containers. Product transfers and equipment adjustments are made both manually and using process control systems.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Tasks:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tOperate, maintain, and repair packaging equipment as well as troubleshoot problems associated with equipment, process, or systems;\r\n\tProvide Leadership and direction to contractor employees on shift to ensure all work tasks are completed efficiently and safely according to Bayer policies;\r\n\tPerform mechanical maintenance and preventative maintenance on packaging equipment;\r\n\tComplete equipment repair notifications and work directly with Maintenance Technicians on any repairs requiring their assistance;\r\n\tDocument actions and adjustments during shift to ensure a complete and safe shift exchange;\r\n\tDocument and complete safety, quality, environmental, and inventory control reports;\r\n\tConduct equipment isolations and issue work permits to contractors and maintenance and monitor progress through completion of work;\r\n\tAssist in preparation, review, and approval of key process documentation (i.e., operating, cleanout, start up, shutdown procedures, process flow and instrumentation diagrams;)\r\n\tComplete required safety, quality, product sampling, and environmental checks and follow up on any deficiencies;\r\n\tMentor, teach and provide developmental coaching to peers and contractor operators.
