The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced Customer Service Officer with a strong teamwork ethic and high personal standards? We are actively seeking an engaging professional with a keen interest in expanding their product knowledge in the Veterinary field to join our team based out of our branch in Marsden Park, NSW.
On a daily basis, your core role will be to assist with end-to-end order management, including keying orders, and promptly managing all incoming customer interactions via phone, email and web orders. You will also be responsible for researching customer queries in a timely manner.
This will require you to communicate closely with warehouse staff, our Purchasing Officer, and drivers regarding any issues with products, delays, customers, or delivery runs. As such, your proactive communication skills and ability to resolve issues will be critical to your success.
What you will do?
- Process orders with exceptional data accuracy, prioritise picking and despatch, and coordinate logistics with warehouse staff and freight companies;
- Advise customers regarding backorders, ETAs, product alternatives, promotions, and quotations promptly;
- Liaise effectively with Purchasing, Accounts, and Territory Managers to ensure smooth operations and credit processing;
- Research products, liaise with suppliers, and escalate complaints to management regarding damaged or incorrect stock received by clients;
- Manage stock lists (damaged/short expiry), assist with product coding, process payments, and perform general admin/warehouse tasks, including occasional picking and packing.
What we are looking for:
- Industry Background: Previous experience as a Vet Nurse, Vet Receptionist, or in a related medical/animal health field is a strong advantage;
- Customer Service Essentials: Proven track record in high-volume client service or administrative roles, with excellent communication, organisational and time management skills;
- Accuracy & Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for data entry, order processing, and identifying errors is crucial;
- Proactive Problem Solver: Ability to take initiative and solve problems efficiently, managing client and supplier issues independently.
- Attitude & Drive: Strong team work ethic, high personal standards, and a keen interest in expanding product knowledge in the Veterinary field;
- Computer Literacy: Proficient computer and accurate data entry skills are essential.
