\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n The Opportunity:\r\n\r\nMaple Leaf Fresh Foods in Hamilton, Ontario is presently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility. This position requires an individual with extensive experience in project management with the ability to multi-task in order to complete medium to large sized projects simultaneously. \r\n\r\n\r\nAny MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by November 18. Applications received beyond that date are not guaranteed consideration.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDevelop and manage (Capital) project plans, operations, budgets and schedules (annual and multi-year)\r\n\tProvide engineering support for the operations group\r\n\tAssist senior management in developing and justifying capital expenditure requests\r\n\tInvestigate practical, cost-effective and innovative plant improvement solutions\r\n\tUtilize and incorporate Six Sigma and other project management tools, methodology and principles\r\n\tNegotiate contracts and supervise equipment vendors, service providers and contractors\r\n\tActively participate in company initiatives; e.g. Innovation, Share groups, MyMLF, Energy Efficiency.\r\n\tProvide technical support in areas of expertise to troubleshoot and identify root causes of failures and determine best strategy to improve reliability\r\n\tReview spare parts strategies to optimize equipment availability.\r\n\tSupport continuous improvement of maintenance professionals/technicians, engineers and reliability specialists to improve their skills in trouble-shooting, root cause analysis, and development of proactive maintenance strategies.\r\n\tFunction as the point person to address technical issues in several classes of equipment as the subject-matter-expert\r\n\tWork with corporate Asset Reliability (AR) group to advance the site reliability maturity in alignment with the corporate strategies.\r\n\tLead and own the site’s RCM initiatives (Asset Criticality Analysis, Critical Spares Analysis, FMEA, MTA (Maintenance Task Analysis), sporadic or chronic RCA).\r\n\tDrive the establishment of risk-based, condition-based, and predictive maintenance.\r\n\tInterface with internal and global teams to translate improvements.\r\n\tIdentify, engineer and implement projects/programs to increase productivity and reliability.\r\n\tRoutinely monitor process parameters and PdM data of critical systems. Review and analyze the respective performance KPIs to predict and prevent failures.
